Grace is a 9 month old Rat Terrier mix and a super special girl! When Grace came to Humane Tomorrow, she was missing her two back feet. She was shy, timid, didn't like to be held and was at times nervous around people. Fortunately, she seemed largely unaware she had a disability. She gets around on all four legs, and when that tires her out, she just uses her front two legs to get around! Humane Tomorrow very graciously purchased a wheelchair for Grace to use so that we can help keep her spine aligned. When we are confident that she is fully grown (which should be in a couple of months), Humane Tomorrow will be getting Grace a pair of prosthetics for her back feet! The prosthetics will cost Humane Tomorrow over $3,000 so donations will be gladly accepted! It is amazing how incredibly well Grace does - she loves to run, climbs stairs, wrestle with the other foster dogs in her house and now, after working with her foster family for several months, she loves to cuddle and give kisses. Grace is almost fully potty trained and is crate trained. She loves other dogs, but she gets overly excited around the cats. She just wants to play, but the cats usually aren't to keen on the idea. Grace will need to go to a very special adoptive home - she needs someone that has time to spend with her on physical therapy exercises and understands and can accommodate her limitations.
