Chancey is a 6 year old, 15 pound poodle/terrier mix. Chancey was found dumped by the lake, and came to us in poor condition with a bad case of flea allergies. He lost most of his hair, and his skin was very irritated and in terrible shape! Through all of this, he was a happy boy! Foster mom has been taking excellent care of him and now he looks amazing! His hair has grown back quite a bit, and will continue to over the next few months. Chancey is very friendly and sweet and loves to give kisses or snuggle with his foster mom while watching TV. He is also very playful and loves tossing around squeaky toys (but will eventually remove the squeakers). He gets along great with his other four legged companions in his foster home, but is quickly trying to establish himself as the alpha in the pack. He tends to hoard all the toys for himself. Chancey would do well as an only dog too. He doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be fine with kids over the age of 6. The age restriction is only because of his toy hoarding. He loves romping around the yard and chasing squirrels, or just lying in the sun and catching some rays. Chancey will sit on command and is good on a leash, but he gets so excited to go on a walk he tends to pull, so a harness would be best. Chancey is housebroken and has the run of the house unless his foster mom will be gone during the day for an extended period. At night he sleeps in his favorite dog bed, or in bed with his foster parents. Chancey is very social and loving, and will make a great companion or walking partner.
